Finished my first NaNoWriMo!
It's fun to have written fifty thousand words and not worry that I've written rubbish. Two surprising things to discover is how short fifty thousand words can be and on a brief scan of my fifty thousands word written some of it might be good.
Got a chance to try out a really fun writing program called Scrivener. It fills in allot of the missing pieces for getting through the draft process in a script or a novel. It works really similar to how I think about my writing. It even can import and export scripts in Final Draft 8 format! Only downside is it is Mac only and I really like my Moblin laptop for writing (small, portable and I'm not afraid of it getting damaged because it's cheaper then my iPhone!).
I hope to do NaNoWriMo again next year and I'm looking forward to this Spring's Script Frenzy.

Nine days into NANOWRIMO '09
Nine days into National Novel Writing Month and I just squeaked by today's goal of 15003 words. Mostly writing on the train to and from work. It's been fun but I'm pretty sure it'll fall in the category of experiment rather then as a candidate for a rewrite.
